the bridge to nowhere

yesterday was a busy day of errands and appointments! the gas cap on my car went missing (cough cough anthony lost it) a couple weeks ago. so while chatting with my mama she told me your gas evaporates and also water can get it your tank (who knew) so i had to run around and find an auto parts store because i was freaking out! but i got it all worked out. yay! i still wish i had A/C but that's just a pipe dream. lol.

so my car is (somewhat) fixed and it's the weekend! and i couldn't be more excited. there was no better way to celebrate than throwing on some converse and grabbing burgers with anthony after work yesterday. i met him after work and we went to whitlows in arlington, va and boy was it gooooood. you can never go wrong with a good burger and a blue moon. :)

i'm a huge fan of layering but lets face it, in this heat it's not really an option. i found this great patterned/sheer/button up type shirt and decided to give it a go. it's so light i barely knew i was wearing it! plus, paired with some denim shorts and a pretty beaded tank, i was ready for a fun, relaxed night out.

we were out walking around near the water and the light was perfect. ah, the beauty of golden hour. gotta love it. going outside right before the sun is setting is so amazing; it's my new favorite thing.
